Trish and Terry Shearin were both born and raised in Wyoming, two of the few "native" Wyominites. We moved to Laramie in 1965 and started a family. With that family of 4 girls and 1 boy, we did a lot of camping, hiking, and biking, which inspired our interest in rock collecting. We taught our children to love and appreciate the outdoors. They brought home "memory rocks", to keep a little piece of it close to them. Soon our yard had a good many rocks of different shapes, sizes and colors. As the kids grew up and moved away, we were left with all those "memory rocks". Trish saw some wire jewelry and because she is an artist, thought what a wonderful idea to make wire jewelry with some of the stones we found. Before you could saddle a horse, we had wire, beads, trim saw, grinder and polisher and we're on our way. We have found Wyoming to be a wonderful place for all kinds of beautiful rocks and gems. We now travel and collect rocks on our travel and share the beauty at our feet with our customers, no matter where we (or they) happen to be. |
